Derek Fisher… Devoted Christian, Committed Father

I thought this was pretty cool… Derek Fisher (an 11-year veteran of the NBA) just walked away from a $21-million-dollar contract with the Utah Jazz in order to take care of his 1-year-old daughter who has cancer. 

Derek is a solid believer in Jesus Christ amidst the often hard to reach culture of the NBA.  I thought this was cool, because not only does this show how his priorities are lived out (especially in a very prestigious career)- but God also honored him in the process by providing for him another team to play for…
