Denton 9th Fastest Growing City in America
The U.S. Census Bureau released a report yesterday showing the City of Denton to now be in the top ten fastest growing cities in the United States. (see chart below).
Obviously the city is changing everyday. Growth is all around us everywhere. In the next 10 years, housing will more than double within the city limits of Denton. In just one year, UNT’s residential housing population (dorms) will grow from 3,900 students to 5,500 students. Incidentally, CNN recently voted Denton, TX as America’s 58th Best city to live in. So there’s no doubt the face of Denton is about to change. For implications of this growth, read my blog from back in November.

This is interesting. As you know, the church planting bonanza has already begun. It will be neat to see what the ministry landscape looks like in 10 years. Might not be a bad idea to start bringing some of these new church plants into a local network.
